About me
John Messick is a writer, teacher, husband, and father. He currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Writing at Alaska Pacific University, where he teaches composition and creative writing. He has also worked building hiking trails, fighting wildland fire, and shoveling snow in Antarctica. He divides his time between Soldotna and Anchorage, Alaska, and spends lots of time outside with his spouse, Mollie and their two children.
