About me
Michele Bombardier is the author of Don't Ask Me How I Know, runner-up for the Sally Albiso Award from Moonpath Press, and What We Do, finalist for the Washington Book Award. She is the winner of the 2024 NORward Prize in poetry and is the inaugural Poet Laureate of Bainbridge Island. Recent work has appeared in New Ohio Review, JAMA, Crab Creek Review and others. She has received fellowships and support from Humanities Washington, Hedgebrook, Mineral School, Edith Wharton Residency, Centrum, and the Tyrone Guthrie Centre. She is the founder of Fishplate Poetry where she leads poetry workshops and retreats.
